A word from SO FAR SO GOOD:
Niamh Barry is one of Irelands emerging talents, hungry to create and collaborate, capturing the unseen through the surreal while maintaining a quality of elegance. She is quickly becoming a driving force in the photography scene in Ireland and we look forward to following her through her career.
My name is Niamh Barry.
I am 23 years old and I am a queer film photographer based in Dublin.
I enjoy shooting portraiture, street and documentary photography that can make people feel something special. I have a deep passion for capturing moments that normally go unseen and providing a platform to communities, cultures, and social issues within our society. My work primarily centers itself around the queer experience including my own and others within the queer community here in Ireland.
My passion for photography has become a way of communicating, telling a story, and creating timeless photographs.
I continue to gain experience and knowledge by working with other creators, organizing and shooting photo shoots, creating ongoing queer film photography projects, and taking photos of gigs around Ireland.
